The SimNewB airway has been designed with measurements and materials that will mean learners can feel the correct resistance and feel as they preform an airway management procedure.

The airway allows for training in all aspects of newborn airway management, including the use of Positive-Pressure Airway devices and the placement of ET tubes and LMAs.

Measure to improve resuscitation quality

For effective monitoring and review of CPR performance, QCPR Technology has been incorporated into SimNewB.

Key metrics measured include:

  • Enough hands-on time
  • Adequate ventilation

Realistic anatomy ensures a learner performs correct head tilt, chin lift and experiences appropriate chest resistance and chest rise.

Partnering to improve neonatal outcomes

Developed in partnership with the American Academy of Pediatrics, SimNewB neonatal simulator will allow for new opportunities to integrate the latest technologies into neonatal training programs.

Pairing SimNewB and educational content developed and validated by organizations such as the American Academy of Pediatrics allows learners to master the skills needed to care for neonatal patients and ultimately improve patient outcomes.

Operation and Debriefing Options

Whether using SimPad PLUS or a LLEAP PC to run your simulation, the software is easy and efficient to use for scenario based training. The intuitive operating platforms provide flexible management of patient parameters, integrated data and video capture, as well as simulated patient monitoring capabilities.
